Can we get a special prosecutor to investigate this? You know with possible libel charges the NY Times wouldn't rush to print a story that wasn't true. Just like with ex-President Bill Clinton, let's get the real story behind this instead of McCain's campaign denying the story and saying it is a "Hit and Smear" job. McCain may have violated ethics laws here. So far all I've seen is various Republican mouthpieces on Fox News, MSNBC and CNN given full reign to decry this as a hatchet job. Why haven't these reporters done their journalistic duty and checked the story out? Or are they afraid of what happened to Mary Mapes when she reported that George Bush deserted his National Guard post during the Vietnam War might happen to them? You all know the story. How the right wing bloggers made a story that was as true as the day is long false and the media bought hooker, line and stinker.
